Josh Assor is a New York City–based choreographer whose work spans Broadway, live entertainment, fashion, theme parks, cruise lines, television, and large-scale theatrical productions.
His choreographic credits include the New York Knicks, Audi, Celebrity Cruise Lines, a Modos Furniture commercial, as well as regional productions of Anastasia, Mary Poppins, Fiddler on the Roof, Cinderella, Newsies, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Carnival, Rock of Ages, The Wizard of Oz, and the Off-Broadway world premiere of Medicine. Josh also choreographed Cedar Point’s 150th Anniversary Spectacular and the television series DJ Burnt Bannock.
Josh is the co-owner of Creative Streak Entertainment, a live entertainment production company specializing in the development of custom entertainment and large-scale live experiences across multiple avenues of the entertainment industry. Clients include Six Flags, Cedar Fair, ADP, Soho House, New York Fashion Week, Hard Rock Hotels, Old Forester, and chef Jean-Georges’ Tin Building in New York City.
As a performer, favorite credits include Neleus in Disney’s Mary Poppins on Broadway and the 1st National Tour, Disney’s Newsies 1st National Tour (Assistant Dance Captain), Baby John in West Side Story at the Stratford Festival, and The Wizard of Oz National Tour. He has also appeared on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and ABC’s The Chew.
Josh has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, Dance Canada Quarterly and Industry Dance Magazine. He currently serves on faculty for both Heat Dance Convention and the Broadway Dance Center.
